Regan's Quote of the Day ... or, Yesterday

So yesterday, out of the blue, Regan says, "You know, I think it IS good to have your mom live in the same house as you." It is so nice that she has had that inner-debate going on inside her head. At least she concluded that I am good to have around...

My Favorite Sound

Without a doubt, my favorite sound in the entire world is hearing my girls playing (nicely) with each other. Specifically, I love it when Hadyn gets herself laughing, really laughing. Regan, being a bit more reserved, rarely gets to the full-blown belly laugh, but it comes easily to Hadyn. Saturday I was able to catch it on the camera. They were "fishing" over the back of the couch, and had rigged the line with a baby wipes toy. Although my 32 year-old mind can't wrap my head around why that is so funny, I can appreciate how it makes me feel. Tell me hearing this laugh wouldn't make even your worst day better...

Also, just a little holiday greeting to everyone...

Bye Bye Winter!

Yesterday was the official first day of spring, but here in Boise we've been enjoying spring for a couple weeks. These pictures were taken on the 10th. We rode bikes, had a picnic (okay, with jackets, but it was a picnic outside!) FYI, that purple flower is from my front flower garden. I'd love to take credit for it, but it bloomed without any help from me, if we're being honest, it bloomed in spite of me...We have the best of both worlds, with our beautiful weather in Boise, and 3 inches of new snow at Bogus Basin. I love Boise!

Blondes

So, I went blonde today. At least I went mostly blonde. I can't speak for them having more fun, but I think I can attest to other rumors about them...I had been blonde for exactly 7 hours when I found myself completely locked out of my house. I was in the garage, had access to my car, but no keys to the house or the car. Perhaps I should have put more thought into the hair color change. Lets hope I adapt soon, or at least hide some spare keys about the yard and garage. I don't know what I would have done if my neighbor hadn't been home and been willing to climb up on my roof and find the one window that wasn't tighly latched. I'll post pictures of the new 'do as soon as Jeff returns from his world travels (Japan) with the camera, assuming I'm keeping the blonde...what do they say about brunettes or red heads?

Track Break

Regan is out of school for the next three weeks. She goes to a year-round school, and has track break for two weeks, starting tomorrow, followed by the regular spring break that all the school district is on. We're hoping to fit in some fun activities to make it a real school break. We're hoping for some skiing this week, the Discovery Center, maybe the zoo, and Regan has an entire arts and crafts book she wants to get through, I think I'm going to need more glue sticks...
